1. Projects for NCDOT’s Prioritization 8.0
Help us identify which projects should compete for state funding.
What’s Happening: We’re sharing the initial list of highway, transit, bike, and pedestrian projects our region is considering submitting to NCDOT’s statewide funding competition (Prioritization 8.0).
How to Participate:
✅ Place pins on our interactive map! Tell us where investments are needed most for:
🚗 Highways (Capacity, Safety, etc.)
🚶 Bicycle & Pedestrian (Trails, Crosswalks, Multi-Use Paths)
🚆 Rail (Passenger/Freight Corridors, Stations)
🚌 Public Transit (Bus Routes, Stops, BRT)

2. Draft Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP)
Review our proposed 10-year schedule of federally funded projects.
What’s Happening: This draft document lists specific transportation projects (construction, planning, etc.) proposed to receive federal funding in our region between fiscal year 2026 and 2035.
How to Participate:

3. Draft Air Quality & Conformity Report
Ensure our plans meet federal air quality standards.
What’s Happening: This technical report demonstrates how the combined transportation projects in our plans (including the MTIP) are projected to affect regional air pollution levels.
