Project Overview
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to upgrade Spring Lane, an existing private dirt road, to NCDOT standards for conversion into a State Maintained Road. The project extends from McCoy Loop Road to Jumping Run Road in the Ivanhoe community, Sampson County.
The new road will raise the grade through the low areas prone to flooding, and include a bridge structure over Jumping Run Branch. Improvements to drainage with roadside ditches and drainage pipes to convey the water across the road will be included in the design.

RESOURCES FOR PROPERTY OWNERS
Although the N.C. Department of Transportation works to minimize the number of homes and businesses displaced by a road project, it is inevitable, in many cases, that a certain amount of private property is needed. The following information explains right of way acquisition and answers questions about the process.
