Project Highlights
NCDOT is proposing to make improvements to the intersection of N.C. 98 (Holloway Street) and Lynn Road in Durham. Improvements include the addition of left turn lanes at the intersection. Additional left turn lanes will require widening of N.C. 98 at the intersection. The graphic below provides information on the planned improvements. These improvements are needed to reduce crashes at the intersection as well as anticipated growth in the area resulting in additional turning volumes.
The typical section for this project was developed to meet the typical section for the adjacent future project (U-6120A), throughout the project corridor. U-6120A would make improvements along N.C. 98 (Holloway Street) between Junction Road and Lynn Road and would include a median, a 10-foot-wide multi-use path, transit stop improvements and a traffic signal where needed.

RESOURCES FOR PROPERTY OWNERS
Although the N.C. Department of Transportation works to minimize the number of homes and businesses displaced by a road
project, it is inevitable, in many cases, that a certain amount of private property is needed. The following information explains right
of way acquisition and answers questions about the process.
