Project Highlights
The North Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to add a left-turn lane at the westbound I-540 ramp to Lumley Road and make signal timing improvements at the ramp intersection with Lumley Road and Arco Corporate Drive. The additional left-turn lane will be added by converting the existing striped median into a left-turn lane. A raised concrete median will divide on-ramp and off-ramp traffic. This project is intended to improve traffic safety at the intersection.

RESOURCES FOR PROPERTY OWNERS
Although the N.C. Department of Transportation works to minimize the number of homes and businesses displaced by a road project, it is inevitable, in many cases, that a certain amount of private property is needed.
