Project Overview:
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to extend existing 17th Street NW to the north from 9th Avenue NW to Clement Boulevard NW (approx. 0.20 mile) in the City of Hickory, NC. The new roadway will include a 10-foot multiuse path on the east / west side.
Project Highlights:
This project seeks to improve connectivity in the project area. The construction of the proposed new roadway will eliminate the need for motorists to access U.S. 321 to move north in the project area, saving motorists time and reducing congestion on U.S. 321

Comments from the public were submitted to NCDOT by August 25, 2022.
