Project Overview
The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to widen Williamson Rd. from Brawley School Rd. to N.C. 150 in Mooresville. The proposed project will widen Williamson Rd. to provide two through lanes in each direction and a median from the intersection with Brawley School Rd. to the project limits of R-2307B at N.C. 150. The intersection of Williamson Rd. and Joe Knox Ave. will be signalized. Sidewalks where they do not currently exist will be included on Williamson Rd. depending on an agreement between the Town of Mooresville and NCDOT. The purpose of this project is to reduce congestion and improve safety in the project corridor.
