N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to construct a roundabout at U.S. 74 / 76 Business / N.C. 130 at Peacock Road (S.R. 1005) intersection.

Project Highlights

NCDOT proposed to improve safety at the subject intersection.  Crash data for the intersection showed a total of 16 crashes within a five-year timeframe, including one fatal crash (2014-2018).

This project is listed as Project W-5706X in the N.C. Department of Transportation’s State Transportation Improvement Program  (STIP) and is funded for $ 1.6 million. Cost estimates have been prepared and are shown below.
