Project Overview

N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Newtown road and Marvin Road in Union County.

The purpose of the project is to improve the intersection operations for current and future traffic at Newtown Road and Marvin Road.

Information will be provided to the public in a virtual format on this website. The public is encouraged to provide comments or share their thoughts regarding the proposed map below

Project Funding:

This project is listed as Project U-6088 in the N.C. Department of Transportation’s State Transportation Improvement Program  (STIP) and is funded for $ 2.45 million. Cost estimates have been prepared and are shown below.
