U-5780 & W-5601: N.C. 150/Wiggins & Western Intersection N.C. 150/N.C. 152

Project Overview

The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to realign the intersections of Wiggins Road and N.C. 150 and the western intersection of N.C. 150 and N.C. 152 in Mooresville.  The proposed project is the combination of two separate projects but because of their proximity to each other they are being planned, designed, and constructed as one project.

  •  U-5780 proposes to realign the intersection of Wiggins Road and N.C. 150. This realignment will include left turn lanes from N.C. 150 onto Wiggins Road, a right turn lane from eastbound N.C. 150 onto Wiggins Road and signalization.
  • W-5601U proposes to realign N.C. 152 to intersect N.C. 150 at a better angle. The intersection will be signalized with a left turn lane from N.C. 150 onto N.C. 152.

The purpose of this project is to increase safety and traffic capacity along this segment of N.C. 150 and N.C. 150/ N.C. 152.
